What we do

Four kinds of help, all under one roof.

Every plan is shaped around the rhythm of your loved one’s day. Mix and match the hours — we’ll build something that fits, and adjust it as life changes.

01

Settling in after a hospital stay

Coming home from hospital can feel daunting — especially in the first few days. We make sure everything is ready, the fridge is stocked, the house is warm, and someone familiar is there to help you find your feet.

What that looks like
  • Sorting transport home and getting the house ready — warm, comfortable, safe.
  • Doing the shop so the fridge is full of fresh, easy meals.
  • Cooking a proper meal for when you arrive.
  • Walking through the home together to spot trip hazards and tricky spots.
  • A simple daily diary the family can read so everyone stays in the loop.
02

Dementia Companionship

Memory loss is hard on the person living with it — and on the family around them. Our leadership team includes qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) who design our approach, ensuring our companion team is perfectly guided to stay calm, patient, and reassuring when things get difficult.

What that looks like
  • Mind-Active Engagement: Gentle conversation, looking through photo albums, listening to music, and playing games that help keep the mind active.
  • Evening Reassurance: A calm, familiar presence to provide comfort when someone feels anxious, upset, or confused at the end of the day.
  • Outings & Community: Supported trips out of the house — whether that’s a visit to the local garden centre, a coffee in town, or attending a local group.
  • True Family Respite: A real break for family members, knowing your loved one is spending the day with an experienced, well-guided companion.

Cleaning, cooking and everyday help

Keeping a home running shouldn’t be a daily worry. We take care of the small jobs that make the biggest difference — the kind of things a daughter or son would do if they lived closer.

What that looks like
  • Cleaning the house — hoovering, dusting, kitchen and bathroom tidy-ups, laundry and bed changes.
  • Cooking proper home-made meals, planning the week’s food, and keeping an eye on what someone’s eating and drinking.
  • Friendly reminders to take pre-packed medication (blister packs only).
  • Picking up prescriptions, doing the shop, dropping in dry cleaning, running other local errands.
04

Someone there overnight

Nights are the hardest part — for the person at home alone, and for family who can’t be there. We sit with them, awake if needed, so everyone can rest.

What that looks like
  • An evening together — dinner, settling in, getting ready for bed.
  • A calm, familiar voice if they wake in the night feeling lost or confused.
  • Making a cup of tea or a small snack if it helps.
  • A short note in the morning so the family knows how the night went.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us a little about your situation and we’ll suggest where to begin — often a short visit is the gentlest first step.
